Terms and Conditions for Trendlewood Pet Spa

2. Bookings and Appointments

  • Booking Process: To book grooming services, customers must complete an online booking form via our website or contact us directly via phone or email. Upon booking, you will receive a confirmation of your appointment.
  • Appointment Modifications and Cancellations: You may modify or cancel your appointment by contacting us at least 24 hours in advance. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the appointment may incur a cancellation fee.
  • No-Show Policy: If you fail to attend your scheduled appointment without prior notice, you may be charged a "no-show" fee, and repeat no-shows may result in refusal of future bookings.

3. Pricing and Payment

  • Pricing: The prices for our services are listed on our website and are subject to change without prior notice. The final price will be confirmed at the time of booking or upon arrival for your grooming appointment. This may vary if your dog is very matted or there are behavioural challenges.
  • Payment: Payments for services are due upon completion of the grooming session. We accept various forms of payment, including credit/debit cards, bank transfers, and cash. Payments are processed securely.
  • Late Payment Fees: If a payment is not received on time, a late fee may be applied as per our discretion.

4. Client Responsibilities

  • Accurate Information: You are required to provide accurate and up-to-date information about your dog, including but not limited to breed, age, health conditions, and any special grooming needs.
  • Health and Behavioural Conditions: If your dog has a medical condition, injury, or behavioral issue, please inform us beforehand. We reserve the right to refuse service if we believe the dog's health or safety could be at risk, or the groomer is at risk from an aggressive dog. We do not accept aggressive dogs but can recommend another groomer who specialises in this. 
  • Supervision: If you are on-site during the grooming appointment, please supervise your dog to ensure their safety and comfort.

5. Liability

  • Injuries or Accidents: While we take great care in handling and grooming your dog, accidents can occasionally occur. Trendlewood Pet Spa is not liable for any injuries, accidents, or illness sustained by your dog during or after the grooming session, except where we are legally responsible.
  • Owner Responsibility: You are responsible for ensuring that your dog is in a suitable condition for grooming. If your dog is found to have fleas, ticks, or parasites, we reserve the right to charge an additional fee for necessary treatments or refuse service if deemed inappropriate for grooming.
  • Damage or Injury to Property: Trendlewood Pet Spa is not responsible for any damage to personal property brought into our premises during the grooming session.

6. Health and Safety

  • Veterinary Care: In the event of a medical emergency or if your dog becomes unwell during the grooming process, we will attempt to contact you or your designated emergency contact. If we cannot reach you, we may seek veterinary care at your expense.
  • Grooming Risk: Grooming procedures, such as haircuts, nail trimming, and ear cleaning, may carry inherent risks. We will always try to avoid causing harm to your dog, but we ask that you acknowledge that grooming may result in temporary discomfort, cuts, or abrasions in rare cases.

7. Privacy and Data Protection

We are committed to protecting your personal information. All personal and dog-related data you provide is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which complies with the UK’s Data Protection Act and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
